Daily routine at The Mulberry Bush:

  1. Arrival time: The children arrive at the school, and parents drop them off at the designated area. Teachers greet the children and engage them in activities to ease the transition from home to school.

  2. Circle time: The children gather together for a short period of time to engage in activities such as singing, dancing, and storytelling. This helps to create a sense of community and belonging.

  3. Work time: This is the main part of the day where children engage in Montessori activities independently or in small groups. They are free to choose activities from different areas of the classroom such as Life Skills, Sensorial, Cognetive, Language, and Mathematics. The teachers observe and facilitate the children's learning.

  4. Snack time: The children have a healthy snack provided by the school, and they are encouraged to serve themselves and clean up after themselves.

  5. Outdoor time: The children go outside to play and engage in physical activities such as running, jumping, and climbing.

  6. Creative time: The children engage in creative activities such as drawing, painting, and crafting.

  7. Lunch time: The children have a nutritious lunch provided by the school, and they are encouraged to serve themselves and clean up after themselves.

  8. Rest time: The children have a quiet rest time where they can nap or engage in quiet activities such as reading.

  9. Afternoon activities: The children engage in activities such as music, yoga, and games to further develop their skills and interests.

  10. Dismissal time: Parents pick up their children, and teachers communicate with parents about their child's day and progress.

Preschool kids parenting :

Parenting preschool kids can be both challenging and rewarding. Here are some tips to help you navigate this important stage of your child's development:

  1. Establish routines: Preschoolers thrive on routine, so establish a predictable schedule for meals, playtime, naptime, and bedtime.

  2. Set clear boundaries: Preschoolers are learning about limits and boundaries, so be clear and consistent about what is and isn't allowed. Use positive reinforcement to encourage good behavior.

  3. Encourage independence: Preschoolers are learning to be more independent, so give them opportunities to make choices and take on age-appropriate responsibilities. This will help build their confidence and self-esteem.

  4. Practice positive communication: Preschoolers are still learning how to communicate effectively, so model positive communication and use age-appropriate language to help them express themselves.

  5. Foster creativity: Preschoolers have vivid imaginations and love to explore the world around them. Encourage their creativity through play, art, music, and storytelling.

  6. Read together: Reading is one of the most important things you can do to help your child's language and literacy development. Make reading a regular part of your daily routine.

  7. Play together: Play is how preschoolers learn, so make time to play together every day. Get down on their level and engage in imaginative play, puzzles, and games.

  8. Encourage physical activity: Preschoolers need plenty of opportunities to run, jump, and play outside. Make sure they get plenty of physical activity every day.

  9. Stay involved in their education: Get to know your child's preschool teacher and stay involved in their education. Attend parent-teacher conferences and ask for updates on their progress.

  10. Practice patience and understanding: Parenting preschoolers can be challenging, but it's important to practice patience and understanding. Remember that they are still learning and growing, and that mistakes are a natural part of the process.
