Preschoolers are undergoing rapid physical, cognitive, social, and emotional development. Here are some key developmental milestones to expect during this age:

Physical Development

  • Gross motor skills:

    • Running, jumping, hopping, skipping

    • Climbing stairs with alternating feet

    • Throwing and catching a ball

  • Fine motor skills:

    • Cutting with scissors

    • Drawing simple shapes

    • Buttoning and unbuttoning clothes

    • Using utensils independently

Cognitive Development

  • Language skills:

    • Speaking in complete sentences

    • Understanding and following simple instructions

    • Asking questions

    • Counting numbers up to 10

    • Recognizing letters and sounds

  • Problem-solving:
